Boodle Reveals Important Savings Resource During National Coupon Month

SAN DIEGO (September 6, 2006) — In recognition of National Coupon Month, the grocery savings Web site Boodle (www.boodle.com) reminds consumers to use all of the resources available to them to find coupons, including the Internet. Online, printable grocery coupons are now readily available and widely accepted at most retailers; however, most consumers do not realize they can print coupons from the Internet.

Boodle hopes to increase the public's awareness of online coupons during National Coupon Month this September, sponsored by The Coupon Council of the Promotion Marketing Association (PMA). Boodle provides free and easy access to printable grocery coupons from top brands such as Cheerios®, Betty Crocker®, Yoplait® and Pillsbury® as well as budget-wise recipes and the latest tips and information to help consumers maximize their grocery budget.

"Most major food manufacturers now offer valuable coupons through the Internet so there is no excuse for consumers to miss out on the vast savings that can be found online," said Les Howe, president and CEO of boodle. "The Internet offers consumers another valuable resource for coupons with offers for nearly every item in your shopping cart."

In an effort to educate consumers about online coupons and where to find them, Boodle provides the following list of Five Things Every Shopper Should Know About Online Grocery Coupons:

  1. Online Coupons Make Cents: Consumers can find and print online coupons for free — greatly expanding what they already obtain from their Sunday newspaper.

  2. Easy to Find and Easy to Use: In addition to www.boodle.com, online grocery coupons can be found on most newspaper Web sites. Also, thanks to sophisticated security measures and a greater awareness level, online coupons are now widely accepted at most retailers that already accept coupons.

  3. Simple Way to Save: Consumers can quickly view online offers from several manufacturers, click to select the coupons they want and print. To get started, Boodle simply requires a zip code.

  4. Save A Boodle: Online coupons often have higher values than their print counterparts. In addition, with online coupons, consumers often have the option of signing up for additional offers.

  5. Coupons on Demand: Online coupons can be printed whenever you want, wherever you are (e.g. home, work). You select and print only the coupons you want.
