Cheap Spring Break Activities
Plan a Picnic
Rather than having lunch at home, find a nice park and bring your lunch along. Be sure to bring a blanket, some board or card games and plenty of cold drinks. Relax in breeze and enjoy the outdoors.
Visit Museums
Museums are a great way to spend the day with your kids or with friends. Not only will you have a lot to do and see, you can learn new facts in the process! Call ahead to find out if the museum offers discount days or coupons for admission.
Host a Movie Day
If the weather outside is not so spring-like, go to your video cabinet or local video store and check out a couple of movies. Pick up some pop corn and sodas or hot cocoa to really set the mood. This will keep you entertained for the day at a low cost.
Arrange a Baking Day
Invite the neighbors, family or friends over for a baking day. Go online to pick out recipes and coupons for ingredients. Have everyone pick a recipe or bring their own along. By the end of the day, you will have enough treats to trade and send home with your guests.
Outside Water Activities
Nothing beats a warm spring day than a warm spring day with water activities. If you don't have a swimming pool, don't worry - the lawn sprinklers or garden hose can be just as much fun! Gather friends and family for a day of outside water fun and BBQ-ing. It is inexpensive and sure to be a good time.
